Premier Conditioned Services were recently invited to tender for the air conditioning works at Newark Hill Academy. Our director, Robert Forsythe leapt at the opportunity, not only because the invitation was received from a much valued client, PGR Construction, but because Robert attended school at Newark Hill a mere forty-three years ago! (The fact that Newark Hill Academy is a two-minute cycle ride from our offices was an added bonus!)
We had originally been requested to re-locate two existing split system air conditioning units to facilitate the building works being undertaken during the summer holiday shutdown.
The design brief soon changed however, and three new air conditioning systems were added. The new work room now benefits from a wall mounted split system as does the principal’s office.
The new reception area and office are served by a Fujitsu multi-split system with two wall mounted indoor units and a ceiling cassette, each operated by individual LCD controllers.
‘It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to be involved in this project, not only have the Academy staff and other contractors worked together as a team, it has given me an excuse to buy a new bicycle. The fact that I had not set foot here since 1973 and yet so many memories remained was a huge bonus.’ – Robert Forsythe
